Djuana Young started working at the University of North Texas at Dallas in January 2025. Ms. Young comes to the university with more than 30 years of higher education experience, most recently from Texas Wesleyan University, where she served as Associate Vice President of Enrollment for the past eight years. Previously, Ms. Young served as Executive Director of Admissions and Assistant to the Vice President, Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at the University of Houston. At Texas Tech University, she held the roles of Assistant Provost for Academic Affairs and Services and Director of Admissions. Ms. Young began her higher education career at Texas A&M University, first as a financial aid counselor and rising to the position of Associate Director of Scholarships over a 15-year period.
Ms. Young earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in management from East Texas A&M University and a master’s in public administration from Texas A&M University. Ms. Young is active in her community and with civic organizations that focus on the needs of young women.
