UNT Dallas Esports Teams Advance to Championship

This was a historic week for esports at UNT Dallas, as our varsity-level Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty teams advanced to the championship round of competition.
On Tuesday, April 11, the Overwatch 2 team scored an amazing victory over Keiser University Pembroke Pines (KUPP) in an extremely close match-up that came down to the final second. It was first-ever playoff win for a UNT Dallas Esports team. You can watch it here. On Wednesday, April 12, our undefeated Call of Duty team beat Neumont College in a rout, which you can see here.
Both teams will compete in the championship round on Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19.
Watch parties will be held in the Student Center, Campus Hall starting at 6:30 p.m. Matches will start at 7:30 p.m.
