The University of North Texas at Dallas Esports program is heading into the playoffs with unprecedented success. All six of its competing teams have earned spots in their respective postseason tournaments. This marks a major milestone for the program, and with strong performances across the board, UNT Dallas Esports is poised to make history.
For the second consecutive semester, the Varsity Call of Duty team has qualified for the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Varsity Premier playoffs, the highest level of competition in the league. With an impressive 7-1 season record, the team is now on a mission to claim its first Varsity Premier championship.
In a dominant display, the Academy Call of Duty team has qualified for playoffs for the fifth straight semester. Going a perfect 7-0 this season and never losing a single map, the team will look to secure its third divisional championship and continue its reign of excellence.
The Varsity Rocket League team, which also finished a flawless 7-0 season, is back in the playoffs for the fifth consecutive semester. As reigning divisional champions, they aim to repeat their success and win the program's second Rocket League division title.
The Varsity Overwatch 2 team enters the playoffs with an outstanding 7-0 record, and just one map lost all season. After narrowly missing out on a championship in past seasons, this team is hungry for the program's second Overwatch 2 divisional title.
The Varsity Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team has qualified for the playoffs for the third straight semester. Still in search of the program's first divisional championship, this team is poised for a breakthrough as it continues to push toward its ultimate goal.
In their inaugural season, the Academy Valorant team has made a strong playoff push, winning their last two games to secure a spot in NACE Varsity Plus playoffs. They’re looking to cap off an impressive debut by claiming the program’s first Valorant division championship.
