November is a month for turkey, football and turning back the clocks. At UNT Dallas, it is also a month for exploration, discovery and charting the course of your future.
We’re talking about “True Blue Preview Day,” Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where prospective students get to envision what's possible with a UNT Dallas degree. It is one of the university’s biggest events of the year - an Open House where we welcome hundreds of high school juniors and seniors and college transfer students.

Current UNT Dallas students will be here to help. Many of them were once in the shoes of True Blue visitors, contemplating the next steps of their educational journeys. Also present will be UNT Dallas faculty and staff, who are committed to academic success, experiential education, and ensuring today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders—career-ready for high-demand jobs in a competitive workforce.
True Blue guests will also get to speak with academic advisors, financial aid experts, career counselors, Esports team members, and student success advocates. We specialize in supporting first-generation and other first-time college students.

True North has been described as “your inner sense, or your calling, of what you want to accomplish in your life. It's a combination of your values, your beliefs, and your purpose.” At True Blue, we aim to help students discover their True North by exploring dozens of majors and programs from our four schools: Business, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Education, Behavioral Health & Human Services.
Because of our academic rigor, educational and financial value, and commitment to improving students' socioeconomic mobility, UNT Dallas continues to achieve high rankings in nationally respected evaluations.
Just last month, U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Colleges” publication ranked UNT Dallas #35 in Regional Universities West, higher than the previous year. This puts the university in the top tier of all the colleges and universities it evaluated in the region, which includes 60 public and 58 private institutions from 14 states.
This year, UNT Dallas also moved up in the Washington Monthly's annual rankings of universities and colleges. The 2024 annual list names UNT Dallas in its “Best Bang for Your Buck” category in the South region.
At UNT Dallas, November is much more than sports, holidays, and Black Friday bargains. It’s about opening prospective students’ eyes and minds to possibilities, opportunities and socioeconomic mobility, all through the lens of public service and giving back to their communities.
