The Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) is a standing committee authorized by the president to review and approve all university-wide proposed policy actions for finalization before review, acceptance, and approval by the president. The PAC is led by the Director University Accreditation and Policy.
The PAC is charged with the review of all proposed policy actions to ensure that appropriate due diligence has been conducted to support the proposed policy actions. This review includes verifying that the proposed policy actions do not conflict with any current campus policies, Regental rules, System regulations, federal and state laws and regulations, or regional and specialized accreditations.
The PAC also reviews proposed policy actions for practicality, clarity, and adequacy in supporting the mission of the University. It considers how the proposed policy actions may impact operations in all areas and, where appropriate, making suggestions on incorporating concerns expressed by community members in the affected areas.
By bringing together a wide diversity of opinions from University representatives with technical expertise in their respective functional area(s), the PAC provides for consistent vetting and balanced decision making of all policy concerns
