ITSS Video Conferencing

ITSS maintains three video conference rooms for use in classes, interviews and events. The rooms can connect to just about anywhere in the world through IP. As an instructor, you can deliver your entire class via video conference or have a guest speaker from out of state. As a student you can use video conferencing to interview research subjects or interview for your first job.

DAL1 212 has a core 2 duo computer running Windows 7 with Internet access through the UNT Dallas network. UNT Dallas supports both Mozilla and Internet Explorer. The computer also has DVD ReWritable drive and several usb ports. A variety of software is available including MS Office 2010, and specifically PowerPoint 2010 for presentations.

Additional presentation equipment includes the following:
- Touch Panel to control equipment
- CANON document camera with a presenter's chair
- VCR for recording and playing back tapes
- DVD Player
- Fixed CEILING microphones for both the instructor and audience use
- Large-screen (72") video DLP projectors at the front and rear of the room for the audience and instructor to simultaneously view the local and remote sites
- Tandberg Educator 6000 video conference system
