Housing Application Information


 

Summer 2025 Housing Application Information

Students must:

  • Be fully admitted and accepted to the university
  • Have a Meal Plan if required
  • Have Renters Insurance (Proof required during Move/Check-in)
  • Pay a $100 non-refundable Application Fee (required of all applicants)
  • Be under the age of 25 throughout the duration of the Housing Contract Period

  • Applications Opens: Friday, 2/28/25 at 9:00AM
  • Priority Consideration Submission Deadline: Monday, 4/14/25
  • Deadline to Submit Completed Application: Wednesday, 5/7/25 at 8:00AM
    • All applications received after this point are not guaranteed summer housing
  • Move-In Day: Friday, 6/6 beginning at 8:00AM

Notification Types

This communication will go to all applicants and notifies you that you have either secured a room or that you have not secured a room in the community at this point in the process.

  • Priority Consideration Applicants: Friday, 4/18/25 by 5:00PM
  • Non-Priority Consideration Applicants: notified on a rolling basis

This communication will only be distributed to students who have secured a housing assignment and will contain the room and suite you have been assigned to for the contracted period. This will also contain the name and contact information for whom you will be sharing a room and/or suite with.  You can use this information to connect and coordinate a plan for shared space items (i.e. bathroom etc.) as applicable.

2025 - 2026 Housing Application Information  

A Housing Application is how students indicate interest and apply to live on campus for either the summer or an academic year. The Summer and academic year are considered two different contract periods and a separate application must be submitted along with a non-refundable $100.00 application fee. The Summer Contract is from the Saturday before the Summer 10-Week Session begins through the conclusion of Finals. The Academic Year Contract is from the Saturday before the start of Fall classes through the conclusion of Spring Finals. 

Students must:

  • Be fully admitted and accepted to the university
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hours of classes) - excluding Summer
    • verification of enrollment is completed throughout the application process and contract period if required
  • Have a Meal Plan (Blazer 10, 14 or 19 Meal Plan available)
    • Blazer 19 Meal Plan required for all first-year students
  • Have Renters Insurance (Proof required during Move/Check-in)
  • Pay a $100 non-refundable Application Fee (required of all applicants)
  • Be under the age of 25 throughout the duration of the Housing Contract Period

  • Deadline to Submit Completed Application: N/A (applications accepted on rolling basis)

  • Priority Consideration Submission Deadline: Monday, 3/24/25 by 11:59pm 
  • Deadline to Submit Completed Application: N/A (applications accepted on rolling basis)

  • Applications Opens: Friday, 2/14/25 at 9:00am
  • Application Submission Deadline: Sunday, 6/1/25 at 11:59pm

  • Applications Opens: Friday, 2/14/25 at 9:00am
  • Application Submission Deadline: Tuesday, 7/15/25 at 8:00am

  • Thursday, 7/31/25 by 5:00PM
    • Student must have completed and received approval for all steps of the Accommodations process with Housing and the Office of Disability Services.

The on-campus housing application is completed via your MyUNTDallas account by selecting the Housing Portal.  In order to submit a Housing Application, you'll need your EUID login and password.  You can begin your application, save it, and come back to it at a later date if needed.

 

  1. Go to your MyUNTDallas account
  2. Select the “Resource” box
  3. Click on “Live on Campus”
  4. You will be directed to the Housing Portal to Log in
  5. Once you have logged in, select the Academic Year you are applying for Housing
  6. Once you have followed all steps in the application, your application will be complete. 

 

Housing is limited and spaces are assigned using a formula to view applicants holistically. We strongly recommend students applying as early as possible as this is a factor in our formula and can help you have the best chance of securing housing.  Once rooms have filled, students will be placed on a waiting list and contacted once spaces are available.

Housing Assignments

Your housing assignment is the room you are assigned to live in within the residential community.  This space is based on residence hall space availability as well as your eligibility to reside on campus.  Students applying for the Fall semester will be notified via their UNT Dallas email account based on their classification with the school and their application (i.e. first-year student, returning student, student athlete, special populations etc.) These dates can be found in the below tabs.  Once all spaces have been filled for the Fall Semester all remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list and our team will fill community vacancies throughout the academic year from this list.  Please note that students must have been fully admitted, paid their application fee, completed and submitted their housing application, be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours), and be under the age of 25 during the entire contract period in order to eligible to receive a housing assignment. Outreach will be conducted via the student's UNT Dallas email account so please monitor your student email for updates.

    • * Important Note: Returning students as defined above must be registered for the upcoming Fall semester by Thursday, 5/1 at 8:00AM in order to keep their secured room or they will be placed back on the Housing Waitlist.*

  • Tuesday, 7/22/25 by 5:00PM

  • Friday, 8/1/25 by 5:00PM
