We continue to be responsive to the needs of our students and want to ensure that all student population types (i.e. Freshman and Transfer) can choose the most comfortable format for their orientation experience. NSO sessions will be offered both in an in-person and online format.
Why is NSO required?
Orientation is required in order to provide all new students with information about being a successful college student at UNT Dallas. You will learn specifics about the University’s academic requirements and all the campus resources available to you.
Even if you have attended another college or university before, you will be required to attend NSO. Our NSO is designed to help you navigate UNT Dallas and understand the resources available for your success.
I was admitted for Summer, will I still need to attend NSO?
Yes, all new students are required to attend an NSO prior to starting their first semester at UNT Dallas.
I was admitted for Spring, attended NSO but did not enroll, do I still need to attend an NSO for Summer or Fall?
If you were re-admitted for Summer or Fall, but attended an NSO for Spring, you do not need to register for orientation. Once you receive your acceptance notification, contact Academic Advising to schedule your individual advising appointment at advising@untdallas.edu or use Purechat.
