UNT Dallas Testing Mission Statement
UNT Dallas Testing Services is committed to supporting the academic and professional success of students and community members. Being the central testing location in the DFW metroplex, our Testing Center provides a plethora of exams, maintain exam integrity, provides a safe testing environment, and is committed to the proctoring services of high stakes certification exams, educational placement exams, and correspondence exams for other educational institutions.
We are dedicated to maintaining professionalism and excellence in all our services, adhering to the professional standards outlined by the Texas Association of Collegiate Testing Professionals (TACT) and the National College Testing Association (NCTA). Guided by the UNT Dallas mission, we strive to empower individuals to reach their full potential by offering a trusted, accessible, and supportive testing experience contributing to lifelong learning and career success.

The TOEFL & GRE are standardized tests administered by ETS. The TOEFL and GRE exams are designed to assess language proficiency and graduate-level academic readiness.

Meazure Learning provides testing and training design, development, and delivery services to certification and licensure organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and trade and professional associations. Please visit the Meazure Learning website for information regarding preparation, requirements, and approvals that you must have before you take an occupational licensing exam.
Preparing for Your Exam
Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your testing appointment. The testing center provides a 15 minute grace period where you may be unable to take your exam if you arrive late.
All testers are required to purchase a guest permit that is valid for one day. Please visit the UNT Dallas Visitor and Guest Parking website for more information.
Valid government-issued identification with photo and signature (i.e., driver’s license, passport, state-issued ID, military ID, etc.) may be required. Some exams (specific Pearson VUE exams) may be required. To ensure you are ready to test, please refer to your specific exam requirements with the designated testing website.

Dress comfortably in layers for all testing scenarios; be prepared so you can adapt to variations in room temperature. Although oversized jackets or coats are not permitted by many testing sponsors, you may wear sweaters or light-weight outerwear. Hats and other none religious headgear can’t be worn into the testing room.
Always check the policies and procedures of your test sponsor. Be aware of items that you may or may not bring to the testing center. The following items are strictly prohibited in the computer testing labs and may not be accessed during any scheduled or unscheduled break (with the exception of food and drink):
- Mechanical pencils
- Cellular phones, smartphones (e.g., BlackBerry® devices, iPhones)
- PDAs, tablet PCs, iPods, iPads, other SMART devices
- Study materials (unless permitted by the test sponsor)
- Cameras and all photographic, communication, computer, and electronic devices
- Food, drinks, gum, candy and tobacco products

Testing Services ascribes to the ethical guidelines of the National College Testing Association’s (NCTA), the Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-Secondary Test Centers of NCTA, and the ethical guidelines of the Texas Association of Collegiate Testing Personnel (TACTP).
