UNT Dallas Trailblazer Basketball Players Receive Post-Season Conference Awards

UNT Dallas Trailblazer Basketball players finished their first full season in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) with recognition.
From the men’s team, 6’3” guard Vernon Johnson was selected as the men's league's Freshman of the Year. He averaged 13.2 points-per-game, ranking him 18th in the conference. Additionally, he was named to the All-Freshman team and earned honorable mention in the All-Conference balloting.
From the women’s team, forward Mykayla Dumas received the league's Sportsmanship Award. The 5’8” Tulsa resident posted a 10.7- point scoring average for the 2021-22 season, ranking her 23rd among SAC performers. Teammate forward Delyssa Miller earned Honorable Mention in the All-SAC voting.
