On Friday, Sept. 14, the University of North Texas at Dallas School of Education hosted its "Encounter" event. 

Spearheaded by Elizabeth Cheek, who is the Executive Director of the Emerging Teacher Institute on campus, this event highlighted and honored students, faculty, staff and alumni who have had an impact on the education advancement across the Dallas community.
