The UNT Dallas Criminal Justice and Public Safety Career Expo will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the UNT Dallas campus, located at 7300 University Hills Blvd. Students –especially high school and college students interested in public safety careers – along with the general public are invited to attend the free event, which will be moved indoors in the event of rain.
The purpose of the event is to connect public safety organizations and students interested in public safety careers with one another.
Specifically, the expo is intended to provide a welcoming platform for students and organizations to engage in discussions regarding what their organizations’ visons and missions are, what they do on a daily basis, and for students to ask any questions they may have.
The Expo also encourages students to envision the vast array of opportunities available within the sphere of public safety. Further, the event highlights a number of UNT Dallas academic programs and exhibits with which students can gain hands-on learning.
As UNT Dallas is strongly rooted in the community, organizers say it’s a win for all involved – students get a real-world opportunity to connect and network with leaders in public safety professions while the organizations have an opportunity to strengthen the public safety-community bond.
