Dr. Mario P. Casa de Calvo is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of North Texas at Dallas. He has served as the Designer and Coordinator of UNT-Dallas' Psychology Program since its inception in 2014. He received his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Texas Tech University, where he received two outstanding graduate awards for his teaching and research contributions. Dr. Casa de Calvo has research interests in Social and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. His previous research investigated topics such as behavioral confirmation (i.e., self-fulfilling prophecy), identity negotiation, and nonconscious mimicry (i.e., automatic imitation). His current research interests include terror management theory (i.e., death anxiety) and organizational identity, organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and leadership. Dr. Casa de Calvo has published articles in a variety of psychological journals, and has presented his research at local, national, and international conferences.
