Dr. Razan Albanna is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of North Texas at Dallas, where she teaches courses in international relations, judicial politics, and international human rights. Dr. Albanna earned her Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her scholarly interests center on state repressive behavior, particularly the role of exceptional courts in the judicialization of state repression. She has presented her work numerous times at national and international political science conferences, and some of her research has recently been published in the Journal of International Politics. Prior to joining UNT Dallas, Dr. Albanna taught courses on the politics of the Middle East at UT Dallas.
