Juan C. Borda G. is a lecturer at the School of Education, University of North Texas at Dallas, Texas. He holds a Ph.D. in Reading Education, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Certificate of Biliteracy from Texas Woman's University. Dr. Borda has over 20 years of experience teaching emergent bilingual students at the elementary level and mentoring pre-service teachers. His research focuses on biliteracy development, specifically through integrating multimodalities and digital resources. Dr. Borda's research work has been published in various journals, including a 2021 publication in NABE Global Perspectives that highlights the role of digital, which highlights the significance of traditional and digital multimodalities in promoting biliteracy for emergent bilingual students. Additionally, Dr. Borda has co-authored two books on biliteracy development for early languages and literacy students.
