Banu Goktan Bilhan

A. Banu Goktan Bilhan is a Professor of Management at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) and has published research articles in prestigious journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Management Decision, and International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal. Additionally, she has authored book chapters and a book in the field of entrepreneurship.

Dr. Goktan is the recipient of the UNT Dallas Center for Socioeconomic Mobility through Education (CSME) Inaugural Research Grant in 2022. This prestigious grant has enabled her to study barriers faced by entrepreneurs in Southern Dallas, further enhancing her influence within the local business community.

With an extensive tenure at UNT Dallas since 2007, Dr. Goktan has served as one of the inaugural full-time faculty members, consistently displaying her commitment to excellence in teaching. As a distinguished member of the graduate faculty, Dr. Goktan specializes in teaching courses focused on International Management, Business Strategy, and Social Responsibility/Sustainable Business.

Dr. Goktan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University, an MBA from Dokuz Eylul University, and a Ph.D. in Management with a minor in Marketing from the University of North Texas.
