Matt Crockett joined the UNT Dallas College of Law faculty in 2016 and currently serves as an Associate Professor. Professor Crockett’s expertise is in the areas of Contracts, Commercial Law, Real Estate, and Bankruptcy.
Professor Crockett received his juris doctorate from California Western School of Law, magna cum laude. Professor Crockett received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans, magna cum laude.
Before joining the faculty at UNT Dallas College of Law, Professor Crockett handled corporate finance transactions in the structured finance group of Gardere Wynne Sewell, now known as Foley Lardner.
Professor Crockett’s research focuses on commercial law and property, and he writes and edits the following products for the West company: The Law of Sales Under the Uniform Commercial Code, The Law of Product Warranties, Vernon’s Texas Code Forms Annotated, Texas Practice Series (UCC), and the monthly UCC Law Letter.
